In a cinematic version meeting your spirit guides might show you being hugged by a winged angel. But in reality it’s your belief system that will let you determine how you meet them. And from what psychics have told me it is a gradual process. There was never a particular moment where “whoosh” a guide appeared. Here are two stories.
Recently I interviewed one of Australia’s most well known psychics, Mitchell Coombes. He is a very interesting young man who has inherited the family psychic gift. Mitchell share a wonderful story on how he came to understand and trust his spirit guide. It happened over time.
He started finding red feathers – on the beach, in a shoe, on the ground – he collected them and tried to work out what the meaning was. He carried them into his meditations expecting a grand appearance of “Red Feather”. But it never happened. In these meditations he kept hearing voices saying that Red Feather would reveal himself. This eventually led to a woman giving him an envelope with a drawing of a Native American Guide with red feathers in his head-dress. Mitchell smiled knowing the significance. Now he had a visual reference of his guide – but this came about in the physical world.
Try Meeting Your Spirit Guides – Here is the Key
Psychics tell me that when they really started connecting to the spirit world they also started to be more in tune with meditation, guides and inspiration.
Five years ago I went on holidays to Thailand. I look a book “White Butterflies” by Colin McPhedran. It was one of the most moving books I have read. On that trip a friend suggested I read the book “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” by Jean-Dominique Bauby. It was another book that moved me deeply. Both books left a big impact on me and I carried them around in my shoulder bag. I visited a friend at an advertising agency and he asked me to voice his poem – “The Magic Butterfly. I was stunned. Was this co-incidence? Serendipity? I chose to accept it as a message from my Spirit Guide. It was a message for me not to fear change. Metamorphosis had to be an ongoing part of my life. I arrived back in Australia and my sister’s friend from China was visiting – she brought me a butterfly wall hanging. The butterflies kept coming and I must always accept changes in life. I believe it is “change” that helps me to explore and appreciate life more and more. I still do not have a visual reference of my guides but I know they are with me.
We are all unique and meeting your spirit guides will certainly be part of your journey – if you allow it.
